For the vast majority of my watchers who aren't familiar with Takarazuka:
Takarazuka is a Japanese all-female theater company that's famous for producing Western-style musicals and revues. There are five different troupes that perform different musicals independently of each other during the year, and the "top star" of each troupe is the male-role actress that gets all the leading roles. Whenever a top star retires, there's always tons of promotional merchandise and expensive DVD box sets released to celebrate their career with the company, so if you're a fan of a retiring top star I imagine it can be pretty overwhelming being faced with so much tempting merchandise. The characters are supposed to be random, though the girl on the right accidentally came out looking a lot like the top female-role actress for Cosmos Troupe ---> [link] oops XD |
